This product contains two kits: the Training Sample Set for Human Urine Metabolomics and the Dansyl-labeling Kit for Amine & Phenol Metabolomics. The purpose of the Chemical Isotope Labeling Training Kit is to familiarize first-time users with the chemical isotope labeling (CIL) procedure and LC-MS metabolomics analyses.
The training sample set contains amino acids standard (for quantification purposes) and 18 lyophilized human urine samples collected from two groups. All donors are healthy individuals. The samples are real and have not been synthetically or chemically altered in any way aside from filtration (for the removal of cells, debris, bacteria, etc.).
All standard operating procedures (SOPs) for this metabolomics platform will be provided with this product including the following: sample handling and labeling, sample normalization and LC-MS analysis.

The product must be handled with caution under the assumption that there is a possibility for transmittance of infectious diseases. All operations must be performed with proper biosafety equipment, following laboratory and governmental regulations. Proper personal protective equipment (PPE), including gloves, lab coats and lab goggles is required when handling this product.

All contents of the kits (reagents and samples) should be stored at -20 °C or lower for maximal storage life with the exception of the liquid reagent container which may be stored at 4 °C.
